Rotating TV

IDING DESIGN and the Hisense Industrial Design Center co-created this rotating TV: turning its rear structure switches it between landscape, portrait and desktop modes for home, education, commercial and entertainment use.

The rotation had to be stable without spoiling the clean form, and as the visual center of the living room the TV had to blend into the home even when switched off. A concealed bezel and a reduced stand answer how a black rectangle that emits no light fits a home.

It won the 2021 Red Dot: Best of the Best, Red Dot’s highest honor, and was Sichuan’s first.
