Mountain-Bearing Beast Exoskeleton
The Mountain-Bearing Beast is a passive lower-limb assist exoskeleton developed with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China for high-load handling, logistics and firefighting, reducing leg load.
Its constraints: compact enough to put on independently, joint motion matched to natural gait, and no added weight burden. A six-bar linkage mechanism achieves a 1:6 load-bearing ratio and fits 90% of adult male body types.
During styling, IDING DESIGN considered the hip, knee and ankle joint axes and built the injection-molding parting direction into the form to avoid undercuts.
